Independence Day

Happy 4th! I chose today to launch this blog because of the significance of the hour. In 1776 a group of men, leaders, tired of serving a tyrannical government decided to stand up for the rights that they believed were given to them and all mankind by the Creator of the universe. We celebrate this day when those brave men decided they would stand up against injustice and right the wrong in the name of God. Oh to be in that room on that day! I wonder the emotions and tension in the air. I don’t envision an immediate roar of applauds, but a moment of silence as the reality of what was to come set in.
